On Saturday 24th June, Roundwood showed what a fantastic club we are by bringing together all our sections at our annual club tournament. We welcomed 63 seniors, Back to Netball and development squad players to the morning session and a further 65 players joined in the afternoon for the Little Rs and Minis tournament. The club showcased the talent we have amongst our players and our true Roundwood family values. In between the two tournaments we presented the awards for all sections including the MET league winner medals. Please check out the Gallery section on the website, https://roundwoodnetballclub.co.uk/gallery to see all the images from the day and thank you to all who took part.
This month Roundwood was given the SCNA Lions Award 2023 for the Club of the Year. The club was presented with this award as the judges thought Roundwood made an outstanding contribution to developing, training and supporting players. Thank you for being a part of the club and especially to the coaching staff and team managers who give the club and players the direction and mentoring.
This summer two seniors teams took part in the CNL versatility tournament where the white team narrowly missed out on a place in the final and the purple team had a mixed set of results. It was great to see what versatile players we have at Roundwood. We also entered teams in 5 junior fixtures during the season, 1 was cancelled due to the weather. We had around 80 players at each fixture, so we were able to represent all age groups. We had a mixed set of results but overall we won more matches than we lost. Thanks to all the parents who team managed on fixture days as we couldn’t enter the number of teams that we do without you.
