On 2nd July 2022 the club gathered at Farleigh Golf Course to celebrate our 21st birthday in spectacular fashion. We had nearly 200 current players with their families, past players, committee members, supporters and league officials at the event to mark the club’s achievements. Here are a few reasons we had to celebrate since 2001
- 25 qualified umpires, plus 5 Into officiating umpires
- 16 qualified coaches
- 20 League winners
- 18 League runners up
- Chairman’s cup winner once and runner up twice
- 11 Rally wins
- 38 individuals selected to represent County, Surrey Storm or London Pulse
- Bronze and Silver CAPS – reaccredited on 3 occasions
- 7 individuals recognised by CNL Colours for services to Netball
- 7 individuals recognised by Surrey Lions Awards for volunteering, umpiring, coaching, teaching and as most improved club
We were also joined by Ama Agbeze MBE who spoke openly about her journey from school netball to being England captain at the Commonwealth Games, and her message was take training seriously.
I am pleased to have created a drop box with all the images and video from the day. Please download the files you wish to keep by THURSDAY 11th AUGUST as the drop box link will expire. You will find in the RNC 21st Birthday Party 2022 folder the Party Photos 1 and 2 folder which has all the images saved and Ama’s speech folder too – enjoy reliving the celebration.
