This week we will see the start of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. We know that many of our Roundwood members have been lucky enough to get tickets, so please do share your photos on our social pages (instagram.com/roundwoodnetball/ and facebook.com/groups/1525149461084546/)

But for those of you who are watching from your front room we wanted to share this time table so that you do miss a second

The Roses are hot favourites at the games as they defend their 2018 title that they won in Australia. The squad selection includes Helen Housby, Jade Clarke and Geva Mentor who were victorious in 2018 alongside Eleanor Cardwell, Sophie Drakeford-Lewis, Layla Guscoth and Laura Malcolm who will make their debits at the tournament.

The team are under the watchful eye of Jess Thirlby, head coach, who has been taking care of the Roses since July 2019. On Friday England have their first game against Trinidad and Tobago, then Malawi on Saturday then Northern Ireland on Monday and on Tuesday we face Uganda. The quarter finals are held on Friday with the final on Sunday at 2030 which we all hope to see England battling it out for the gold medal!

Roundwood wish the Roses all the luck and on home territory could we see a win again?
