Roundwood would like to say a huge congratulations to Shannon Conney on qualifying as a C Award umpire!
Shannon has played at Roundwood since 2009, and she finally bit the bullet and decided to take on the challenge of umpiring.
Shannon explains, “I did my Introduction Officiating course back in 2017, followed by my “C Award” course in 2018. Since then I tried to get as much practise as possible, whether it was at training or umpiring evening league games. I took my written test in 2019. After what feels like a lifetime, I did my pre-assessment in January 2020 and passed my C Award assessment in March 2020. It feels good to finally be qualified!”
