On 3rd and 4th July 2021, Roundwood Netball Club held its launch weekend at Coombe Wood School. We were determined to hold our launch weekend and celebrate the club’s move to our new home whilst raising money for our 21st birthday party next summer.
The weekend was a huge success and was a chance to bring our Development Squad, Seniors and the newly formed Social and Back to Netball members together, plus give our Little Rs the chance to enjoy their first ever games! The event showcased a great display of the talent we have at Roundwood.
Alongside all the fun of enjoying being back on court in our new venue we also raised over £1500 for our 21st birthday party year on 2nd July 2022. Sara, our club chair said that ‘the stress of organising this event was definitely well worth it! An annual event forever (but without the added stress of cover please!)”
Amy, our Minis, Little Rs, Junior, Development and Social and Back to Netball Coach said ” I felt immensely proud to be part of the Roundwood family that weekend and it has been requested that it becomes an annual event, which I thoroughly support”.
