How long have you been with RNC?
I have been at Roundwood for nearly 7 years.
What is your favourite part of the club?
Definitely the members. I love the social side and how well we all get on. I also love seeing the younger girls develop and achieve. It’s such a great club for progressing talented netball players!
How did you get into netball?
My sister started playing first and, as she is 4 years old than me, I always wanted to be like her. The minute I was old enough I was on the court. I started at primary school which had a great netball set up and played at Selsdon Little League.
How did you find RNC?
I always knew about Roundwood as I used to play against them for my previous club. My close friend plays for RNC and she got me to join. I loved the idea of training and playing every week.
What do you do beyond netball?
I am a PE teacher so that takes up a lot of my time. I also like to travel and spend time with family and friends.
What would you say to encourage others to join any sports club?
Do it! It is the best thing you can possibly do for both your physical and mental health as well as many social benefits. You make the best friends playing netball and sport contributes to so many skills you will use in life.
Whats your biggest Netball achievement?
It has to be passing my C award umpiring. I just never got round to doing it and eventually passed in 2019!
What’s next for you at RNC?
Hopefully gaining promotion with the B team to the league above and progressing in my umpiring qualification.
