Little R’s and Juniors
For both Little Rs and Juniors, players are grouped according to ability rather than age but as a general guideline Little Rs is for girls in years 3, 4, 5 & 6 and Juniors for years 6, 7, 8 & 9.
Training
All coaching staff for Little Rs and Juniors have either a Level 1 or Level 2 netball coaching qualification.
Winter training (September to mid May) is on a Thursday night at Croydon High School.
COVID-19 TRAINING TIMES
Little Rs: 5.30pm-6.20pm
Juniors: 6.30pm-7.20pm.
Our usual TRAINING TIMES
Little Rs: 5.30pm-6.30pm in the sports hall.
Juniors: 6pm-7pm. Training starts on the outside courts before moving into the sports hall at 6.30pm.
Summer training (Mid May to June) is outside at Shirley High School on a Thursday night. Little R’s is 5.15-6.15pm and Juniors is 6.15-7.15pm.

Usually, at our last training sessions we host an Awards and Family Celebration evening for Little Rs and Juniors. Awards are given for Coaches’ Player, Most Committed, Most Improved and Most Enthusiastic. Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend and there is even the opportunity to join in with the parents versus Juniors/Little Rs games. This season we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary, and all awards will be presented at our Club 20th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday 3rd July 2021.
MatchEs & Venues
Croydon Junior League – Roundwood enters age group teams into this league which plays at Shirley High School on six Sundays throughout the season. These teams are open to all members who are considered match ready by our coaching staff.
Dates for the Croydon Junior league 2019-20 season are: 13th October, 17th November, 1st March, 29th March, 26th April and the end of season tournament 20th June 2020.
We also enter an Under 14 and Under 16 team into the Nonsuch Junior League, which plays at Nonsuch High School on four Sundays throughout the season. These teams are selected by the coaching team.

Roundwood’s training fee is £21 pcm payable by compulsory payment plan via https://easyregisters.com..
A compulsory membership fee is paid directly to England Netball by each individual player online.

All players joining Roundwood Netball Club must became a member to England Netball. The fee is paid directly to England Netball online by each individual player..
All new members must pay this when joining the club.

As a Silver CAPS netball club, Roundwood adheres to all the above policies as outlined by England Netball. We have adopted these for our club.
Entry into Development Squad is subject to spaces available and success in gaining a place through club trials. (See dates on website). Existing junior club members will automatically receive a place in Development Squad when the coaching staff feel they are ready to move up and should the player wish to continue their membership at the club.
